Health Monitoring in the Grand Est Region. Bulletin of October 16, 2025.
Key points
Bronchiolitis
Indicators have been rising since weeks 2025–36 (in emergency departments) and 2025–37 (SOS Médecins). They remain comparable to what was observed during the same period last season.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
Influenza indicators are at baseline levels. Regional virological data are detecting a few sporadic cases, as expected at this time of year.
COVID-19
All surveillance indicators have been rising since week 2025-30 (mid-July), reflecting increased viral circulation of the XFG variant classified as VUM1 (not of concern). This has no significant impact on the healthcare system: confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases account for 0.6% of emergency room visits and 2.0% of SOS Médecins consultations in the region.
Acute gastroenteritis
No significant increase in indicators has been observed.
