Health Monitoring in the Grand Est Region. Bulletin of January 15, 2026.
Key points
Bronchiolitis
In emergency departments, visits for bronchiolitis continue to decline, accounting for 12.9% of all visits in week 02-2026, compared to 17.0% of visits in week 01-2025. SOS Médecins consultations for bronchiolitis follow the same trend: 7.0% of all consultations are related to bronchiolitis.
Influenza and Flu-Like Illnesses
Flu-related activity in emergency departments is decreasing for the first time since the start of the epidemic but remains at a high level (3.8% of all emergency department visits). In SOS Médecins associations, while the number of consultations for flu-like illness has been decreasing since week 52 of 2025, the proportion of these consultations among all consultations appears to be stabilizing.
COVID-19
Both in hospitals and in community settings, the number of patients seeking care for suspected COVID-19 remains low (<1% of total activity).
Acute gastroenteritis
Emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations are fluctuating at levels typical for the season.
