Health Monitoring in the Grand Est Region. Bulletin of December 4, 2025.
Key points
Bronchiolitis
Bronchiolitis indicators continue to rise for the third consecutive week, reflecting increased viral circulation in the region. It accounts for 15% of emergency room visits and 8% of SOS Médecins consultations in the region among children under 1 year of age. The region has been classified as being in an epidemic phase, like the rest of mainland France.
Influenza and Influenza-Like Illnesses
In week 2025-48, activity for influenza-like illness is on the rise in emergency departments (accounting for less than 1% of visits) as well as at SOS Médecins clinics in the region (accounting for approximately 7% of consultations). Virology data indicate a resurgence of influenza A viral circulation. These factors have led to the region being classified as being in a pre-epidemic phase for influenza.
COVID-19
Seekings of care for suspected COVID-19 remain stable at a low level (<1% of total activity) in both private practice and hospitals.
Acute gastroenteritis
In the SOS Médecins network, consultations for acute gastroenteritis have shown an upward trend in recent weeks, though they remain within the usual seasonal fluctuations.
