Key Highlights
The peak of the flu epidemic was reached in week 7, and a decline in consultations for flu-like illness is observed in mainland France and in Lorraine.
Both nationally and regionally, influenza activity remains low this season compared to the 2012-2013 winter season. The circulating influenza viruses are type A.
In week 13, in Lorraine, the number of positive test results for both the influenza virus and RSV dropped back to a very low level.
Bronchiolitis activity has decreased over the past two weeks in Lorraine.
Gastroenteritis activity remains steady in Lorraine. Rotavirus remains one of the main circulating enteric viruses over the past few weeks.
According to the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network, the four departments of Lorraine are at very high risk for birch pollen allergies.
