Epidemiological Surveillance in the Alsace Region. Update as of July 3, 2014.

Highlights

  • In weeks 25 and 26, allergy-related activity decreased for the SOS Médecins association in Strasbourg and remains variable for the one in Mulhouse.

  • According to the bulletin from the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), Alsace is at moderate to high allergy risk (depending on the department) due to grass pollen. Chestnut and nettle pollen remain low at this time of year.

  • Over the past two weeks, the number of asthma diagnoses has been low for both SOS Médecins associations in the region.

  • Over the past two weeks, the proportion of cases related to heat-related illnesses has been low for both SOS Médecins associations in Alsace. Compared to 2012 and 2013, the observed proportions remain within the expected range for the summer season.
