Epidemiological surveillance in the Alsace region. Update as of April 18, 2013.
Key Highlights
At both the national and regional levels, the end of the 2012–2013 flu epidemic is confirmed, though influenza viruses continue to circulate and may cause sporadic cases. Vigilance remains essential.
In week 15, the activity of the SOS Médecins associations in the region is no longer impacted by the flu but by acute gastroenteritis, which is the leading diagnosed condition for the Strasbourg association and the second leading one for the Mulhouse association.
The number of CO poisoning cases recorded since October 1 is lower than that recorded last year for the same period.
