Occupational diseases (OD) encompass all illnesses that any physician—particularly occupational physicians—deem to be related to work but that are not recognized as occupational diseases (OD) by a social security system. In response to public health challenges related to the underreporting of occupational diseases, the Occupational Health Directorate of Santé publique France (formerly InVS), in collaboration with the Occupational Health Inspection (IMT), has established a system for health monitoring and epidemiological surveillance of work-related illnesses. This system involves occupational physicians reporting all work-related illnesses according to a validated protocol. The Centre-Val de Loire region has been participating in this program since 2008. This document summarizes the results from the two-week periods in 2015 and 2016.
