Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 42, the incidence rate rose (+36% compared to the previous week), the positivity rate increased, and the testing rate decreased. There was a sharp rise in incidence in Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher

  • Among the tests screened in the region, 0.3% had the E484K mutation, none had the E484Q mutation, and 98.0% had the L452R mutation

  • Stable number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 and a decrease in SOS Médecins calls for suspected COVID-19

  • Increase in critical care admissions and new hospitalizations.

Bronchiolitis

Second week of the epidemic phase. In week 42, activity related to bronchiolitis was on the rise at SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments.

Influenza

3rd week of surveillance - No epidemic. In week 42, activity related to flu-like syndromes was stable at SOS Médecins and slightly down in hospital emergency departments.

Gastroenteritis

In week 42, activity related to gastroenteritis was moderate and on the rise at SOS Médecins; moderate and stable in hospital emergency departments.
