Health Monitoring in the Centre-Val de Loire Region. Update as of November 5, 2020.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • Hospital data: 748 hospitalizations, an increase compared to previous weeks. (521 new hospitalizations in Week 44)

  • Clusters - Cluster alert reporting: Since May 11, 409 clusters (excluding close family settings) have been recorded in the region (including 90 in nursing homes). 145 clusters are currently under investigation. Among them, 59 clusters are in nursing homes.

  • Due to the increase in viral circulation throughout the region, the number of identified clusters is likely underestimated.

  • Since November 3, all departments in the Centre-Val de Loire region have been classified as “high” vulnerability. Indeed, Indre, which was previously classified as “moderate,” has joined the other departments that have been at the “high” level since August 22, 2020.
