COVID-19

A gradual slowdown in the spread of SARS-CoV-2 across the entire region, with the number of people currently hospitalized stabilizing but remaining at high levels.

  • Incidence rate (IR) declining across all age groups and departments; highest IR among those aged 15–44 (819 per 100,000)

  • BA.5 sublineage on the rise and now dominant since week S24

  • Decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in acute care hospitals

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • In week 29, activity related to gastroenteritis was stable in hospital emergency departments and on the rise at SOS Médecins

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • Activity was stable at SOS Médecins and slightly increased in hospital emergency departments.

Monkeypox

  • As of July 28, 13 cases had been confirmed in the Centre-Val de Loire region
