COVID-19

  • In Week 05, indicators of healthcare utilization for suspected COVID-19 were down for SOS Médecins, with an activity rate of 0.5%, or 9 cases (0.7% in Week 04, or 11 cases).

  • In week 05, indicators of healthcare utilization for suspected COVID-19 remained stable for hospital emergency departments, with an activity rate of 0.3%, or 40 visits (0.3% in week 04, or 49 visits).

Bronchiolitis

  • 5th week post-epidemic.

  • In week 5, the number of medical procedures for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (n = 3) was down compared to the previous week (n = 5). Bronchiolitis accounted for 3.4% of medical procedures, down from the previous week (6.1%).

  • In week 05, the number of emergency department visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age (n = 72) was stable compared to the previous week (n = 68).

Influenza

  • In week 05, the number of medical procedures for influenza-like illness (n = 263) was stable compared to the previous week (n = 252).

  • In week 05, the number of emergency department visits for influenza-like illness (n = 321) was stable compared to the previous week (n = 333).

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • In week 05, the number of medical visits for gastroenteritis (n = 169) was up compared to the previous week (n = 135) and accounted for 9.7% of medical visits (8.6% in week 04).

  • In week 05, the number of hospital emergency department visits for gastroenteritis (n = 228) was stable compared to the previous week (n = 234) and accounted for 1.6% of coded visits (1.7% in week 04).
