Data from SOS Médecins on influenza and influenza-like illnesses are beginning to decline, in contrast to indicators from other data sources: the influenza epidemic appears to be nearing its peak. Excess mortality from all causes continues to rise, primarily among people aged 65 and older. The proportion of these deaths attributable to influenza is unknown.
