Health Monitoring in Brittany. Update as of February 17, 2021.

Key Points

COVID-19

Decrease in the incidence rate and positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. In week 06, the incidence rate fell from 109.5 per 100,000 inhabitants in S05 to 88.0 per 100,000 inhabitants in S06. The positivity rate is also declining, falling from 4.4% in Week 04 to 3.8% in Week 05. This decline is seen across all departments, but rates remain high in Ille-et-Vilaine and, to a lesser extent, in Morbihan. Hospital pressure is decreasing but remains high, and Covid-19 deaths, while down slightly, remain at a high level. The proportion of suspected cases of the so-called British variant is 55.5% in Brittany, and that of cases not distinguished from the Brazilian or South African variants is 3.7%.
