Bronchiolitis

• Epidemic activity. Increased detection of RSV according to the virology laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and Brest University Hospital. Other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are circulating, notably rhinoviruses.

• Maternal vaccination and infant immunization with monoclonal antibodies are two alternative strategies for preventing RSV bronchiolitis.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

• Pre-epidemic activity. Detection of influenza A and influenza B viruses according to the virology laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and Brest University Hospital.

Gastroenteritis

• Moderate activity. Indicators are consistent with what has been observed in previous years.
