Occupational Diseases in Franche-Comté. 2010 Results
The year 2010 was marked by a low response rate among occupational physicians in the region. However, in a small region like Franche-Comté, a low participation rate has a significant impact on the robustness and precision of the observed results. For this reason, few 2010 results are presented in this regional report, particularly regarding the socio-professional categories and sectors of activity covered by the MCPs. Occupational health surveillance, however, has a vital role in the medical practice of occupational physicians. It is explicitly one of the missions assigned to the occupational health service, as recently reaffirmed by the reform of the occupational health system adopted on July 20, 2011. Participating in a surveillance program such as the MCP program is a way to contribute to the development of knowledge and monitoring tools in occupational health, which is one of the objectives of the 2010–2014 Occupational Health Plan and its regional implementation in Franche-Comté.
