Public Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of June 16, 2022.

Key Points

COVID-19

SARS-CoV-2 viral circulation is on the rise in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté for the second consecutive week, with incidence rates below the national average in all 8 departments. The limited sequencing results (and therefore not representative of viral circulation) show that the BA.2 sublineage of the Omicron variant is nearly exclusive.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, one imported case of dengue has been biologically confirmed in Haute-Saône, a department with no documented presence of Aedes albopictus.

Extreme heat, heat wave

Yellow alert issued on June 16 at 4:00 p.m. regarding the Heat Wave indicator for the departments of Côte d’Or (21), Jura (39), Nièvre (58), Saône-et-Loire (71), and Yonne (89) in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
