Heat Wave and Health Alert System in Burgundy and Franche-Comté. Update as of August 31, 2017.
Key Points
Since the afternoon of Sunday, August 27, Météo-France has placed the Jura and Saône-et-Loire departments under an orange heat wave alert; the other departments in the region have been placed under a yellow alert, with the exception of the Territoire de Belfort. All heat wave alerts for the region were lifted as of the 4:00 p.m. map on Wednesday, August 30.
Since the start of the heat wave: No significant increase in heat-related medical consultations in either the OSCOUR® or SOS Médecins networks.
For yesterday:
- 1 visit to the emergency room for heat-related illnesses, involving a person aged between 45 and 74, which was followed by hospitalization.
- 2 SOS Médecins consultations for heat-related illnesses; these consultations involved individuals under 45 years of age.
