Heat Wave and Health Alert System in Burgundy and Franche-Comté. Update as of August 29, 2017.
Key Points
Since the afternoon of Sunday, August 27, Météo-France has placed the Jura and Saône-et-Loire departments under an orange heat wave alert; the other departments in the region have been placed under a yellow alert, with the exception of the Territoire de Belfort.
Since the start of the heat wave: data updated as of today indicate 4 cases of heat-related illnesses (HRI) in the SOS Médecins network, including 2 people aged 75 and older; 10 cases of heat-related illnesses (HRI) in the OSCOUR® network, including 3 people aged 75 and older; 6 of these cases resulted in hospitalization, including 3 people aged 75 and older.
For yesterday:
- 7 emergency room visits for H-related conditions involving one person under 15 years of age, 3 between 15 and 44 years of age, and 1 aged 75 and older. Three were hospitalized, including one over 75 years of age.
- 3 SOS Médecins consultations for acute respiratory distress involving one person under 15 years old, one between 15 and 44 years old, and one aged 75 or older.
