COVID-19

  • The current situation requires continued vigilance, and Santé publique France, along with health authorities, remain fully mobilized.

  • In week 36 (W36), the rate of confirmed cases in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté has been rising since late July, increasing from 22 per 100,000 inhabitants in W35 to 33 in W36. The percentage of calls for suspected COVID-19 cases handled by SOS Médecins (Figure 1) continued to rise this week (5.05% vs. 4.17% in W-1), as did emergency room visits (0.96% vs. 0.64% in W-1) (Figure 2). Emergency department activity remains low. The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is decreasing (around 30%) and primarily involves those aged 65 and older (81%).

  • In medical-social facilities (ESMS), surveillance of individual COVID-19 cases has been suspended since June 22, 2023, replaced by surveillance of clustered cases of acute respiratory failure (IRA). Between weeks 20 and 36, 31 episodes
