Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of November 17, 2022.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • Incidence and testing rates based on the total number of tests performed have been uninterpretable since Week 43 following the suspension of the transmission of COVID-19 test results by certain private medical laboratories. Compounding this situation are the All Saints’ Day school holidays and the presence of public holidays in Weeks 44 and 45.

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase

  • The region has been in the epidemic phase for 5 weeks

  • Activity at SOS Médecins clinics is stabilizing but remains high

  • Activity in emergency departments remains at a high level despite a decrease this week and follows the same pattern as last winter after two weeks of school holidays

Flu

  • SOS Médecins’ activity level is slightly higher than in previous seasons during this same period but remains low

  • Emergency department activity is currently low and at a baseline level comparable to previous seasons

  • 3 reports of clusters of acute respiratory infections in long-term care facilities

  • No severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care have been reported by the sentinel network of intensive care units
