The incidence rate continues to decline (-5.2%) as does the positivity rate (-2.7%), against a backdrop of low testing rates. The incidence rate is estimated at 12 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, lower than the national rate of 22 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Incidence rates range from 8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Saône-et-Loire to 17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Côte-d’Or, and positivity rates range from 4.8% in the Territoire-de-Belfort to 9.6% in Côte-d’Or and Nièvre.
The XBB.1.5* variant remains the most prevalent (41% of interpretable sequences in S20 vs. 49% in S19). This trend is also observed at the national level.
Extreme heat, heat wave
No unusual increase in activity at emergency departments or SOS Médecins clinics in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
Indicators of heat-related illnesses remain at low levels.
