Investigation of a National Salmonellosis OutbreakSince early November 2011, the National Reference Center (CNR) for Salmonella has reported an unusually high number of strains of serotype 4,5,12:i:-:, with the weekly count having doubled. Furthermore, 80% of the strains received by the CNR during this period were of this serotype.
