Investigation of a National Salmonellosis OutbreakSince early November 2011, the National Reference Center (CNR) for Salmonella has reported an unusually high number of strains of serotype 4,5,12:i:-:, with the weekly count having doubled. Furthermore, 80% of the strains received by the CNR during this period were of this serotype. Between the first week of November and December 16, the CNR identified 294 cases of salmonellosis across France, with symptom onset dates ranging from October 28 to December 4. [...]
