  • Between 2021 and 2023, the standardized incidence rate of patients hospitalized for ischemic heart disease in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté was higher than that of France (470 vs. 459 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively), with an average of 11,537 patients hospitalized per year in the region. The standardized prevalence in 2022 was 5.6% in the region, comparable to that of France (5.5%). The standardized mortality rate (2020–2022) was higher in the region than the national rate (62 vs. 59 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively).

  • Between 2021 and 2023, the standardized incidence rate of patients hospitalized for heart failure in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté was comparable to that of France (342 vs. 344 per 100,000 inhabitants), with an average of 8,719 patients hospitalized per year in the region. The standardized prevalence was 2.5% in 2022 in the region, equal to that of France (2.5%). The standardized mortality rate in the region (2020–2022) was also comparable to that of France (44 vs. 46 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively).

  • Between 2021 and 2023, the standardized incidence rate of patients hospitalized for stroke in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté was close to that of France (230 vs. 231 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively), with an average of 5,699 patients hospitalized per year in the region. The standardized prevalence in 2022 was 2.0% in the region, equal to the national prevalence (2.0%). The standardized mortality rate in the region (58 per 100,000 inhabitants) was also comparable to that of France.

  • At the subregional level, incidence rates were higher than the regional and national rates for all three conditions in Haute-Saône. Mortality rates were higher than the regional rates for all three conditions in Nièvre and Yonne. Heterogeneities existed at the subdepartmental level.
