Surveillance of Occupational Diseases in the French West Indies: Results from the 2020–2023 Biweekly Reports
Occupational diseases (ODs) encompass all illnesses that may be work-related but have not been recognized as occupational diseases by a social security system at the time of the medical examination. The ODD surveillance program relies on the voluntary participation of occupational health teams in the French West Indies, who report twice a year, during two consecutive two-week periods known as “ODD Fortnights,” all ODDs encountered during their consultations with workers. The MCP surveillance program has been in place in Guadeloupe and Martinique since 2018. This brochure presents the cumulative data from the reporting periods conducted in 2020, 2022, and 2023 in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
