Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Although clinically suggestive cases are being reported in the municipality of Matoury, a return to normal is observed in the Cayenne Island sector. The dengue epidemic has ended except in the Kourou sector, where it continues. Serotypes DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4 are co-circulating, with a strong predominance of serotype DEN-2. The epidemiological situation in the Kourou area calls for continued vigilance. It is important to remember the importance of eliminating mosquito breeding sites and taking personal precautions against mosquitoes. If you experience a sudden onset of fever, it is recommended that you consult your primary care physician.
