Situation Analysis

All epidemiological indicators for the last two weeks of May show that the dengue epidemic remains active in the region. The number of clinically suggestive cases and the number of laboratory-confirmed cases remained high throughout May. Furthermore, the number of hospitalized cases has remained between 2 and 5 each month since March 2013. The epidemiological situation in Saint Barthélemy therefore continues to be that of a confirmed epidemic corresponding to Phase 3 of the Psage.
