  • In 2024, 39 probable or confirmed cases of leptospirosis were reported to the Martinique Regional Health Agency (ARS).

  • The incidence rate is 11 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

  • Seasonal resurgence during the rainy season.

  • High-risk recreational and occupational activities: gardening, landscaping, agriculture, livestock farming, hiking, walking barefoot outdoors, swimming in rivers, fishing, and other freshwater activities.
