Dengue Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of January 14, 2021

Key points

Martinique

  • Surveillance indicators in urban areas and hospitals have been stable for the past three weeks (2020-52 to 2021-01) but remain close to and above the seasonal threshold.

  • Despite this lull in the epidemic, it is important to remain vigilant and continue implementing preventive measures (eliminating larval breeding sites, using personal protection such as repellents, mosquito nets, and electric fly swatters) to help bring the epidemic to a close.

  • Martinique remains in Phase 4, Level 1 of the PSAGE* dengue alert system: confirmed epidemic.
