Key Points
In Guadeloupe, following the meeting of the technical committee for dengue monitoring on August 17, 2023, Santé publique France considers that the epidemiological situation regarding dengue now corresponds to the epidemic phase, phase 4 level 1, in accordance with the PSAGE* dengue guidelines. The management committee meeting is scheduled for September 1, 2023.
In Martinique, the dengue epidemic (phase 4, level 1, confirmed epidemic) declared on August 22, 2023, by the Dengue Management Committee continues.
The DENV-2 serotype has been identified in the majority of cases investigated in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
In Saint Martin: the epidemiological situation is calm, but it should be monitored closely.
In Saint Barthélemy: The situation is stable, with an average of 4 confirmed cases recorded per week since early August (week 2023-31). Nevertheless, it is being closely monitored.
Phase 1 of the PSAGE* remains in effect in Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy: sporadic cases.
