Dengue Surveillance in the Caribbean. Update as of November 30, 2022.
Key points
In Guadeloupe
Dengue surveillance indicators have been on the rise since October 2022. Two outbreaks have been identified in the municipality of Saint-François (La Coulée and Belle Allée).
Cases imported from Guadeloupe have also been reported in mainland France, all of whom had visited Saint-François. Among these cases, the DENV-2 serotype was detected.
In Martinique, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy
the situation is calm. Various factors, including the rainy season and the proliferation of larval breeding sites, could quickly lead to a deterioration of the epidemiological situation.
