Dengue Fever in the Caribbean. Update as of October 31, 2024.
Key points
Martinique
All indicators have been rising for several weeks, with values for outpatient medical data exceeding seasonal thresholds. Following consultation with the Technical Committee for Dengue Monitoring (10/14/2024), Santé publique France Antilles considers that the epidemiological situation regarding dengue corresponds to Phase 2, Level 2 of the PSAGE: outbreak(s) with potential for spread or multiple outbreaks with epidemiological link(s) between them.
The indicators for week 43 should be interpreted with caution given the social context (blockades, roadblocks) limiting access to healthcare services.
Guadeloupe
The current dengue situation corresponds to very active virus circulation. The Technical Committee for Dengue Monitoring will convene on November 6 to reassess the epidemiological situation of dengue, which currently corresponds to Phase 3 of the PSAGE: Epidemic risk, with clinically suggestive cases exceeding the maximum expected level.
Saint Martin
The situation is calm. Phase 1 of the PSAGE dengue protocol: sporadic cases and isolated outbreaks with no epidemiological link(s).
Saint-Barthélemy
The situation is calm. Phase 1 of the dengue PSAGE: sporadic cases and isolated outbreaks or outbreaks with no epidemiological link(s). Aedes albopictus has been identified on the island.
