Dengue Fever in the Caribbean. Update as of April 11, 2024.

Key points

Guadeloupe and Martinique

  • In Phase 4, Level 1 of the PSAGE* dengue alert system: confirmed epidemic.

Dengue transmission remains at high levels, with the number of clinically suggestive cases fluctuating around 200 for several weeks. This high level of viral circulation in our territories could lead to a further deterioration of the situation once the rainy season resumes. Efforts to control the Aedes aegypti vector must therefore be stepped up immediately, both individually and collectively.

Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin

  • Return to normal according to the PSAGE Dengue.

Dengue circulation remains at low levels, confirming the return to a normal situation observed since mid-March 2024.

* Surveillance, alert, and epidemic management programs.
