The main feature of this issue focuses on perinatal care in some of France’s overseas departments and regions: the French West Indies and French Guiana. The next issue will focus on Réunion and Mayotte. This edition of Santé en action was produced between September 2019 and March 2020, with the involvement of numerous professionals in these territories. This issue has a twofold objective: to provide an overview of the current situation and to demonstrate, through examples of interventions and programs, how professionals work on a daily basis and mobilize to promote maternal and child health throughout these territories, in collaboration with local communities.
