• The third heat wave of the summer of 2026 in Corsica began on Thursday, July 30. It is still ongoing as of August 4.
• At the regional level, analysis of emergency care utilization for the iCanicule composite health indicator shows the following during the heat wave:
  • a stable number of emergency department visits throughout the episode and a situation comparable to the reference period (July 23–29), for all age groups as well as for those aged 75 and older;
  • no increase in the number of heat-related hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency room during the same timeframe;
  • very low activity at the SOS Médecins clinic in Ajaccio.
