Key Points 

Leptospirosis 

  • The seasonal increase in leptospirosis cases, which peaked in March, has since been on a downward trend. To date, 217 locally acquired cases have been reported. A second death linked to leptospirosis has been reported, and investigations are underway to determine whether it was caused by the disease.

 Chikungunya, Dengue 

  •  54 cases of chikungunya and 327 cases of dengue have been detected since the beginning of the year. No cases of dengue have been confirmed in the past two weeks.

Flu-like illness 

  • Hospital health indicators for children under 15 remain at a high level, amid active circulation of the rhinovirus. Additionally, the positivity rate for influenza viruses is on the rise.

Bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age 

  • Health indicators are declining.

Acute gastroenteritis (AGE) 

  • Hospital indicators have remained stable over the past three weeks.

Smallpox B (Mpox)

  • During the month of June, 10 cases imported from Madagascar were reported, bringing the total to 25 cases (including 20 imported cases) since the beginning of the year.
