Malaria

• Seven new cases were reported in week 31, including two locally acquired cases, three imported cases, and two cases under investigation;
• Since the beginning of 2026, 309 cases of malaria have been recorded, including 68 locally acquired cases and 218 imported cases, mostly from the Comoros;
• Three hospitalized malaria cases were reported in week 31.

Smallpox B (Mpox)

• Smallpox B (Mpox) continues to circulate in Mayotte, with persistent local transmission since the end of June;
• Since the beginning of 2026, 45 cases of Mpox have been reported in Mayotte, including 19 imported cases, 25 locally acquired cases, and 1 case with an undetermined epidemiological status. Several locally acquired cases with no identified epidemiological link have been detected in Bouéni since week 26.
