Key Points

Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika 

  • Since May 1, 2026, a cumulative total of 57 imported cases of dengue, 8 imported cases of chikungunya, and 2 imported cases of Zika have been identified and investigated in the Île-de-France region (compared with 111 cumulative imported cases of dengue and 133 cumulative imported cases of chikungunya during the same period in 2025).

All-cause mortality 

  • A very high excess mortality rate was observed in the Île-de-France region during Week 26, amid a heat wave. During Week 27, a less pronounced excess in deaths was observed. These data are still being consolidated and will be the subject of a detailed update after the summer.
