Dengue

• Dengue activity remains low throughout the country. Since the beginning of the year, 11 cases of dengue have been laboratory-confirmed, with the most recent case reported in late May 2026 (S2026-21).

Chikungunya

Since late January (Week 04), 1,305 cases of chikungunya have been laboratory-confirmed in French Guiana, including 37 in Week 30 (unconsolidated data). The virus is actively circulating in the territory:

• Western Coast: The number of visits to the CHOG emergency department has remained stable at a moderate level for the past three weeks. The virus is circulating in this area, which remains in an epidemic phase.
• Savanas: The number of visits to the CHK emergency department for suspected chikungunya was at a moderate level last week, following a sharp increase recorded the previous week (Week 29). The epidemic continues in this sector.
• Cayenne Island: Cases of chikungunya are confirmed each week, and the trend is stable. In Week 30, two outbreaks were contained in one municipality. As a result, seven outbreaks are currently active and being monitored. The sector is in the outbreak phase.
• Maroni: Last week, no cases were confirmed in this sector. Maroni is in the sporadic transmission phase.
• Interior, Eastern Interior, and Oyapock: No confirmed cases have ever been recorded in these sectors, which are in the epidemiological surveillance phase.
