- On August 5 at 6:00 a.m., Météo-France issued a green alert for the eight departments of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. From Wednesday, July 29, through Wednesday, August 4, four departments in the southeastern part of the region (Saône-et-Loire, Jura, Doubs, and Territoire-de-Belfort) were under an orange alert.
- A regional analysis of emergency care utilization shows a slight increase in the iCanicule composite health indicator (which includes cases of hyperthermia, dehydration, and hyponatremia) during the heat wave. This trend falls within the expected range of fluctuations for the current weather conditions.
At the departmental level, there was no marked increase in the departments under an orange alert, nor was there a notable increase in calls to SOS Médecins in the Doubs department.
