Aude de Martin de Viviés has been appointed Deputy Director General of Santé publique France, effective April 20, 2026, where she will assist the Director General in defining and implementing the agency’s strategy in support of public health policies. She succeeds Marie-Anne Jacquet, who had held the position since 2020.
Aude de Martin de Viviés, a civil servant, has recognized expertise in the management of public institutions, the implementation of public health policies, and the leadership of multidisciplinary teams. Her career, marked by leadership roles in several ministries (Culture, Social Affairs and Health, Ecology), as well as at the National Office for the Compensation of Victims of Medical Accidents (ONIAM), demonstrates her multidisciplinary expertise in public administration and health.
At Santé publique France, her responsibilities will also include coordinating support departments (Procurement and Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems), representing the agency in dealings with partners, and ensuring the agency’s operational, legal, and financial activities are properly managed.
Career
A State Administrator, having passed the external entrance exam for the ENA, Aude de Martin de Viviés
is a graduate of Sciences Po Lyon and holds a master’s degree in public law (Université Jean
Moulin Lyon III). She was a student at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Social Protection
(IHEPS). Her expertise in public policy, organizational management, social dialogue, and change
management makes her a leading professional in health and social protection
policies.
She began her career in 1995 as an administrative officer at the Ministry of Health and held
several positions within the Ministries of Health and Ecology, notably as head
of the Office of Work-Related Accidents and Occupational Diseases (DSS) and as deputy
director of the Office of Medicines (DGS).
Between 2013 and 2017, as deputy to the deputy director of pensions and supplementary social protection
institutions (DSS), she participated in pension reform, the
creation of the personal account for the prevention of arduous work, and the transposition of the
Solvency II directives for mutual insurance companies and provident institutions.
From 2017 to 2021, she served as Deputy Director of the National Office for the Compensation of Victims
of Medical Accidents (ONIAM), where she led the
agency’s administrative and financial turnaround, oversaw the implementation of compensation schemes for victims of Depakine and COVID-19, and negotiated the 2021–2023 objectives and performance contract.
Since 2022, Aude de Martin de Viviés has served as Deputy Director of Human Resources Strategy and Management at the Ministry of Culture, where she managed the ministry’s workforce and payroll, modernized the professional training policy, renewed the professional equality plan (2026–2028), and developed the Disability Plan in partnership with the Fund for the Integration of People with Disabilities into the Civil Service (FIPHFP).
