Surveillance of enteroviruses in mainland France, 2000–2004.

Since the last review of the polio situation in France in November 2000, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) European Region was declared polio-free on June 21, 2002. National vaccination policies, procedures for monitoring vaccination coverage, epidemiological surveillance, and the protocol to follow in the event of a suspected case are outlined here.
