Health in Action, December 2022, No. 462 Adapted Physical Activity: Promoting Public Health
Physical activity is beneficial to the overall health—both physical and mental—of the entire population. The latest international scientific research has confirmed that it is equally beneficial for people living with a medical condition. The same applies to sedentary individuals who are unable to engage in physical activity, often for economic, social, or environmental reasons, as their living conditions do not allow them to access opportunities for physical activity. This special issue is therefore dedicated to a determinant that can be addressed to improve the health, well-being, and daily living conditions of populations.
