• In the Indian Ocean region, the number of emergency room visits for asthma among children under 15 increased in Week 35 (the second week of school in Réunion) compared to Week 34 (56 vs. 30 visits in Week 34). The proportion of cases is increasing at the same rate (9% in Week 35 vs. 4.0% in Week 34) but remains at levels comparable to those observed in previous years.

• Nationally, visits for asthma among children under 15 continue to rise. The increases observed in the SOS Médecins and OSCOUR networks follow the same trend (respectively +18% and +20%, or +37 and +185 visits). The shares of activity in emergency departments and within the SOS Médecins network, while showing slight increases, remain at a low level comparable to that of previous years.
