Week 39 (September 25–October 1, 2023):

• In the Indian Ocean region, during the 5th week of school in Réunion and the 6th week in Mayotte, emergency room visits for asthma remained stable among children under 15 (77 vs. 76 visits in Week 38), as did the proportion of hospitalizations following a visit (26% in Weeks 38 and 39).

• Nationally, during the fourth week of the school year in mainland France, asthma-related visits among children under 15 remained stable within the SOS Médecins network and in emergency departments. The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit decreased slightly (27% vs. 31% in week 38).
