Week 41 (October 9–15, 2023):

• In the Indian Ocean region, during the 7th week of school in Réunion and the 8th week in Mayotte, emergency department visits for asthma remained stable among children under 15 (80 vs. 83 visits in Week 40), while the proportion of hospitalizations following a visit decreased (23% vs. 30% in Week 40).

• Nationally, during the 6th week of the school year in mainland France, after two weeks of decline, asthma-related visits among children under 15 began to rise again in both networks (+9% in emergency departments and +5% at SOS Médecins). The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit remained stable at 25% (vs. 26% in Week 40).
