The AIDS Situation Among the Foreign Population Residing in France from the Start of the Epidemic Through June 1998

The AIDS epidemic among foreign nationals residing in France has been little studied. A report from the Institut de Veille Sanitaire has just been published. This article presents its main findings. The objective is to describe any specific characteristics among foreign nationals with AIDS, with regard to their sociodemographic characteristics, their access to screening, and their therapeutic care.
