Key points

  • Mainland France

    • Continued high circulation of SARS-CoV-2

    • Increase in the positivity rate among all tested individuals, particularly marked among symptomatic patients (13.4%, +6.1 percentage points)

    • Increase in hospitalizations, new ICU admissions, and deaths

    • High vulnerability level: Guadeloupe, trend toward stabilization; Martinique, continued increase; French Guiana: downward trend

    • Moderate vulnerability level: Réunion, continued viral circulation; Mayotte, increasing trend

  • Prevention:

    • Fewer people are avoiding gatherings and in-person meetings; more and more people are wearing masks

    • Recommendation: Improve the consistent maintenance of a distance of at least one meter between people, without shaking hands or kissing.
