Key Points
Continued significant decline in SARS-CoV-2 circulation following the peak of the second wave:
Continued decline in all indicators in urban areas and hospitals
Most affected regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
Mortality:
Mortality remains high
Particularly marked excess mortality in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes between weeks 44 and 47
Prevention:
Intention to get vaccinated against COVID-19: 53% of respondents in the general population (CoviPrev Survey, early November), 68% of self-employed professionals
Systematic adoption of hygiene and contact-reduction measures: remains at a high level, though room for improvement (CoviPrev Survey, late November)
If symptoms develop, immediate isolation is required, and a test should be taken as soon as possible
Mental health:
Continued increase in the prevalence of depressive disorders since late September among respondents (+12 percentage points), particularly among young people and students
