  • 43% of CG episodes occurred in medical wards and 36% in follow-up care and rehabilitation units, long-term care units, and nursing home sectors

  • 38% of cases identified among CG episodes were healthcare professionals working in healthcare facilities

  • 23.8% of transmission scenarios identified a failure to identify the case upon admission
