Residents living near vineyards exposed to pesticides

Agricultural areas are not spared from environmental pollution. The PestiRiv study, conducted by Santé publique France and the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES), shows that people living near treated vineyards are more exposed to pesticides than those living far from farmland. Recommendations aim to change agricultural practices and protect affected residents through the adoption of simple measures.
